10 Rap Songs Saved By Their Features

10 Rap Songs Saved By Their Features

After making a list of rap songs ruined by features, it is only fair to make a list of rap songs saved by their features. This includes songs that the featured artist either made the song better or completely saved the song from being horrific.

10. Travis Scott feat. Don Toliver – CAN’T SAY

There is not much to say about this song. The intro from Travis Scott proves that the whole song was meant for Don Toliver to shine. Travis maintains Don Toliver’s style almost throughout his whole verse till Don Toliver performs the original version to make the song perfect.

9. Internet Money, Gunna & Don Toliver feat NAV – Lemonade

As rare as it sounds, without NAV in this song the song would be bland, whack, and boring. His verse was complete; vibe (check), lyrical content (check), swag (check). His verse is the most memorable in anyone’s ears as it was just that good.

8. Logic feat. Pusha T – Wrist

In 2016, Logic dropped “Bobby Tarantino” which had Wrist as its sixth song. Logic’s verse was not bad at all but the flow greatly evolves when Pusha T starts rapping. His voice and vibe matches perfectly with the beat and being one of the greatest rappers of all time, he completely steals the show.

7. Lil Mosey feat. Gunna – Stuck in a Dream

From an impressive album, Certified Hitmaker, Stuck in a Dream had a very good verse from Lil Mosey Mosey’s elder brother came on to teach Mosey how mumble rap is done. The vibe was perfect, it is almost like the beat was made exactly for Gunna.

6. Joyner Lucas feat. Logic – ISIS

Prior to this song, Joyner Lucas and Logic were believed to be in a rap beef (which was true). The song signaled the end of the beef. The song is quick fire with both artists rapping about beef. Joyner’s verse is average but Logic completely steals the show. Thirty seconds into the song and you instantly forget that Joyner had a verse talk more of own the song. Logic’s verse, flow, speed, and lyricism steals the show completely. Only one artist steals another artists show like this; Eminem. Its safe to say this is Logic’s best feature to date.

5. Gunna feat. Young Thug – DOLLAZ ON MY HEAD

Gunna is a chill out rap artist so whenever you hear a song by Gunna expect nothing less of boring, tired lyrics but WUNNA was different. Unlike other projects, WUNNA has an unusual ability to keep you feeling full and relaxed. DOLLAZ ON MY HEAD is one of the best songs from the album and Young Thug made sure it was. Gunna starts off with an impressive flow that fuses well with the beat but when Young Thug starts, only the outro by Gunna remind you that Gunna owns the song. Young Thug used his dynamic voice very well here and keeps you bopping your head till his verse is over.

4. Jack Harlow feat. Big Sean – Way Out

The reincarnation of Drake, Jack Harlow, has been a sensation since his breakout single “What’s Poppin”. Way Out featuring Big Sean was very good song from his major album “That’s What They All Say” and the song is totally carried by Big Sean. Jack Harlow isn’t bad here though with his flow and delivery but Big Sean brings his usual swag and persona to the beat that leaves you bopping your head to every bar no matter how weak and childish it sounds.

3. ScHoolboy Q feat. Kendrick Lamar – Collard Greens

The best member of hip hop super group “Black Hippy” was the first to drop an album, Good kid M.A.A.D City, and it was nothing short of successful. Fellow Black Hippy member decided to drop an album similar to the level of Kendrick Lamar’s but still needed the help of Kendrick. Collard Greens is the best song from the album as Kendrick does the hook with keeps you bopping your head and when his verse starts its easy to forget that ScHoolboy Q owns the song.

2. Baby Keem feat. Travis Scott - Durag Activity

Baby Keem dropped a unique track in Durag Activity as it was chill and mumble but cannot be generally categorized under the usual mumble rap culture. The chorus was considerably weak (he was basically repeating the same words in dark, blurry voice), Baby Keem's verse was also weak but the song ultimately takes off when Travis Scott starts rapping. Travis has a way of creating an atmosphere in your head that instantly sucks you in no matter what he is rapping about and he does it ever so well on this guest verse.

1. Travis Scott feat. Future, Young Thug & M.I.A. - FRANCHISE (Remix)

The original FRANCHISE was a typical classic from Travis Scott and Young Thug, two established trap legends in the game. M.I.A. came with a nice verse (more of vibe than lyrics) but in totality the remix takes the epicenter as the best version of the song. Travis Scott and Young Thug make a good combo, why not add Future to make it an excellent combo? The end result is nothing but fire. Future delivered arguably his best featured verse of all time by doing nothing but vibing to the beat in a way only Future can and completely steals the whole show.
